| Created in 2002 and located in the countryside of the Teramo Province (Abruzzo Region – Italy), ITACA is a non-profit association focused on sustainable development by means of integration, diversification and coordination of the territorial resources. Our mission is to foster the participation in projects and initiatives at both local and EU level, with a special attention to rural and marginalised areas, by supporting networking, mobility, training, education and awareness-raising on various topics, involving our associates and the local communities and promoting the values of tolerance, peace, cooperation and active citizenship.
Our network members are public authorities, SMEs, schools, privates, other associations and our main fields of action are rural development, art and culture, entrepreneurship, environment, social, sports, tourism, youth. ITACA has established a rural hub called ‘Bottega per l’Identità Territoriale,’ hosting a variety of activities aimed at rural residents, including training courses, support for students and families, and cultural events.
